Karma

The Law of Karma, says only this: `for every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose existence was caused by the first, and this second event will be pleasant or unpleasant according as its cause was skillful or unskillful.'

Sometimes you can sweetly and legally help Karma along.

I have been working closely with someone without pay, assisting them with an assignment they wished to succeed in. This was an area of live that I have achieved considerable success win and I was happy to share my knowledge without hesitation - until ....

This week they launched themselves into business, not only with the skills I taught them but with a complete plagiarism of the skills I have. They even 'used' one of my business names with only a tiny variation. 

However they were not very smart. They failed to register that business name variation and in that first week of business where they will have expended a lot of time and money plagiarizing someone who until now has helped them yet failing to do the first and most important thing, securing the business names their own - I have rushed in and registered that name and paid the $10. to hide from them who has secured it. 

I could if they become successful offer to sell it to them at a profit or I can simply open an apposing business to them in that name, seeing they copied my business and a close variation to my business name in the first place.  Now the latter is what I intend to do.  As they work hard to build their business, a web search for them will bring up my business and my registered business name will then link to my existing business.Sweet karma and that one person will learn to never take people who help them, for granted again.

So when in business, remember business ethics. Learn from others but do not steal.  It is karma that they will not appreciate it. They will put up an immediate barrier to prevent further theft.
